There were plenty of challenges working on top of the iconic Savoy entrance roof, and one of them was accessing through a window!
Working through a lifting plan with the hotel and contractors, in thorough detail ensured that the onsite delivery was smooth.
An award winning installation, with some iconic pieces that definitely brought some Christmas cheer to the visitors.

Cannes Lions brand activations are always a challenge, just by the very nature of the location and the time pressures. But not something that phases the team at Number 8 Events Ltd.
From Lifting Plans to Evacuation Plans, the key was in the effective planning, onsite tweaking and execution of the plans.
This is always a challenge when you are planning the safety in advance for an event site that you cannot visit frequently. But something we are well versed in assessing.
Naturally there will be amendments to the original plan, but with Number 8 Events by their side, the client can rest assured that the advice is pragmatic, efficient and useful.

OUR EXPERIENCE
The team at Greenwich + Docklands International Festival organise some impressive performances across a multitude of spaces, across a short space of time.
In 2020 this was made all the more complicated by COVID-19 and all the restrictions that this brings.
Number 8 Events Ltd provides logistical and equipment hire support across all of the GDIF projects, ensuring that a consistent approach is achieved across all of the sites.
Whenever there is an element of traffic, Number 8 Events Ltd steps up to the mark and provides the consultation, planning and implementation.
In 2018 and 2019 we closed down Roman Road for a theatrical parade, and in 2020 we provided a rolling road closure for Lullaby, a cycle orientated community theatrical display across 5 miles in South London.

An effective proactive measure to prevent outbreaks and reduce the likelihood of cross contamination of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).
COVID SECURE
Working within the event industry, we understand the needs, demands and restraints of an event or photoshoot venue.
This system is designed for use in public spaces and is safe for paints, glues, plastics, metals etc. Perfect for an event venue or photoshoot.
Working with the client we ensure that the sanitisation plan works round the expensive equipment onsite and is timed to ensure that there is limited loss in time.
All the staff are fully trained, including British Institute of Cleaning Science.
As you would expected from Number 8 Events Ltd, all works are fully risk assessed with insurance.
Having now undertaken this service for venues, film shoots, photo shoots and event spaces. We are preparing solutions for clients on a daily basis.

We have been working with London Borough of Waltham Forest for a number of years. Organising their public event programme.
OUR EXPERIENCE
We have worked with London Borough of Waltham Forest for more than 5 years now on their public facing events.
Working consistently through the year, we design, plan and implement the full event management service for the council.
We also utilise all of the Number 8 services to ensure that the council receive ultimate efficiency.
The events range across each of the areas of the borough and include concerts, carnivals, road closure events, a Mela and a firework display.
This is managed through one central Number 8 Events team, that works with the council staff and links into the wider Number 8 Events team to effectively deliver a diverse range of public authority events.

OUR EXPERIENCE
Chingfest is a free to attend public event within the council’s event Programme.
Following a successful tender bid, Number 8 Events Ltd are the Councils appointed event management company and we are responsible for the booking, scheduling and planning of every element of the event.
Utilizing our wide range of equipment and furniture we are able to deliver a lot of the event with equipment from our warehouse, which means we have complete control over deliveries, preparation and availability. Something that proves invaluable when last minute changes occur.

A big crowd demands; robust planning, effective
Stakeholder liaison and sturdy picnic benches!
OUR EXPERIENCE
When the organisers needed to partner with a company to support on the delivery of the Wembley Rugby World Cup Fanzone, their first call was to Number 8 Events Ltd.
We worked closely with the organisers to plan for a free to attend, popular fanzone in a high profile location.
With many stakeholders involved and the world’s media in attendance there was little room for error and the detail was essential.
The event was very well attended and a great experience, it was also the first outing for the super heavyweight picnic benches that are now supplied by us to many events across the UK.

A stage with Lions sat on? Sounds like a safety job for Number 8 Events Ltd
OUR EXPERIENCE
When the LSO team wanted to put a big stage in Trafalgar Square and play a full orchestra to a free audience, many people were curious.
We have worked with the team since the planning of the first event on crowd management, safety management and stakeholder engagement.
We even worked with the team to find a suitable solution to allow the historic lions of Trafalgar Square to be a feature of the stage set up. Believe it or not the lions are untouched during the process!
Being at an iconic location, nothing can be taken for granted and a lot of contingency planning provided. But it is all worth the effort when the fabulous orchestra start playing to a free audience in a historic location, in the open air.
